There are 45 cards, each bears a different three letter syllable:

The number of cards has been reduced from 72 to 45 and the familiar Sylabex box has been replaced by a more portable tuck box. In this slimmed down version of the game all references to Ern Shaw as the designer have also gone.
The 4th Edition pack featured here was part of Rex Pitts' personal collection.
