First Published: 1957, Pepys Series by Castell Brothers Ltd., St. Cross Street, London
Illustrator or Designer: Not Credited
Contents: 26 Cards, Indicator Board, 5 Counters (4 small, 1 large), 100 Share Certificates (20 each of 4 Companies), £1,718 in Pepys Currency in the 1st Ed and £1,720 in the 2nd Ed + Rules Booklet
In the 1st Edition the box has "The NEW Win-A-Lot and a pile of coins in the bottom left corner. In the 2nd Edition these have been removed and the Pepys device has moved into their place.
Like Win-A-Lot there are just 26 cards: 6 each for 4 companies, Motors, Shipping, Stores, Steels plus 1 Bull and 1 Bear card.
On the left is the Indicator Board with 4 small wooden counters and 1 large house shaped counter. To the right are 18 Pepys currency £1 coins.
Both editions have the same Indicator Board but the coins are replaced in the 2nd Edition with 20 £1 paper notes and the wooden counters are replaced with small plastic generic counters, bottom right in the sealed bag.
Both editions have exactly the same cards and the only difference between the boxes are the tops.
The house shaped wooden counter in the 1st Edition is the same as those used in Housing Drive and is the same size as several wooden stands in other Pepys games.
The 2nd Edition game featured here was part of Rex Pitts' personal collection.
