Happy Families of the Nations is an expanded version of Happy Families of the World 1st Edition.

In Happy Families of the Nations the cards are full size and not economy quality. The game was issued in two different coloured boxes, pink and blue, but the card backs in each are the same dark red and the rules are identical. All of the families from Happy Families of the World 1st Edition have been included using the same artwork and two new families, Japan and Sweden have been added.

Happy Families of the Nations was confusingly superseded by a third game, Happy Families of the World 2nd Edition, a totally redrawn game with different families.

The twin Pink and Blue Boxes were released at the same time and are not separate editions, the cards and rules in both are identical.
